the governments of the People's Republic of China and Portugal through a contribution to the UNU Endownment Fund. As well as providing two-thirds of the endownment fund, the Macau authorities also supply UNU/IIST with its ooce premises and furniture and subsidise fellow accommodation. The mission of UNU/IIST is to assist developing countries in the application and development of software technology. UNU/IIST contributes through its programmatic activities: 1. Advanced development projects, in which software techniques supported by tools are applied, 2. Research projects, in which new techniques for software development are investigated, 3. Curriculum development projects, in which courses of software technology for universities in developing countries are developed, 4. University development projects, which complement the curriculum development projects by aiming to strengthen all aspects of computer science teaching in universities in developing countries, 5. Schools and Courses, which typically teach advanced software development techniques, 6. Events, in which conferences and workshops are organised or supported by UNU/IIST, and 7. Dissemination, in which UNU/IIST regularly distributes to developing countries information on international progress of software technology. Fellows, who are young scientists and engineers from developing countries, are invited to actively participate in all these projects. By doing the projects they are trained. At present, the technical focus of UNU/IIST is on formal methods for software development. UNU/IIST is an internationally recognised center in the area of formal methods. However, no software technique is universally applicable. We are prepared to choose complementary techniques for our projects, if necessary. UNU/IIST produces a report series. Reports are either Research R , Technical T , Compendia C or Administrative A. They are records of UNU/IIST activities and research and development achievements. Many of the reports are also published in conference proceedings and journals. Abstract This report introduces a component calculus, whereby a system can be divided into a number of interconnected components. We model the behaviour of individual service by a design, which enables one to separate the responsibility of clients from the commitment made by the system. We adopt the notion of reenement to formalise the replaceability of components. This allows developers to improve the system performance by reorganising its data components. He Jifeng is a senior research-fellow of UNU/IIST. He is also a professor of computer science at the Software Engineering Institute of East China Normal University. His research interests include the theories of programming languages, formal methods for safety-critical systems, parallel and …

Symmetric Rogers-Hölder's inequalities on diamond-α calculus
We present symmetric Rogers--Hölder's inequalities on time scales when $frac{1}{p}+frac{1}{q}+frac{1}{r}=0$ and $frac{r}{p}+frac{r}{q}$ is not necessarily equal to $1$ where $p,$ $q$ and $r$ are nonzero real numbers.
متن کاملAn analytic study on the Euler-Lagrange equation arising in calculus of variations
The Euler-Lagrange equation plays an important role in the minimization problems of the calculus of variations. This paper employs the differential transformation method (DTM) for finding the solution of the Euler-Lagrange equation which arise from problems of calculus of variations. DTM provides an analytical solution in the form of an infinite power series with easily computable components. S...
متن کاملOn certain fractional calculus operators involving generalized Mittag-Leffler function
The object of this paper is to establish certain generalized fractional integration and differentiation involving generalized Mittag-Leffler function defined by Salim and Faraj [25]. The considered generalized fractional calculus operators contain the Appell's function $F_3$ [2, p.224] as kernel and are introduced by Saigo and Maeda [23]. The Marichev-Saigo-Maeda fractional calculus operators a...
متن کاملNON-POLYNOMIAL SPLINE FOR THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF PROBLEMS IN CALCULUS OF VARIATIONS
A Class of new methods based on a septic non-polynomial spline function for the numerical solution of problems in calculus of variations is presented. The local truncation errors and the methods of order 2th, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th, are obtained. The inverse of some band matrixes are obtained which are required in proving the convergence analysis of the presented method. Convergence anal...
متن کاملCertain subclass of $p$-valent meromorphic Bazilevi'{c} functions defined by fractional $q$-calculus operators
The aim of the present paper is to introduce and investigate a new subclass of Bazilevi'{c} functions in the punctured unit disk $mathcal{U}^*$ which have been described through using of the well-known fractional $q$-calculus operators, Hadamard product and a linear operator. In addition, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the func...
متن کاملNon-Newtonian Fuzzy numbers and related applications
Although there are many excellent ways presenting the principle of the classical calculus, the novel presentations probably leads most naturally to the development of the non-Newtonian calculus. The important point to note is that the non-Newtonian calculus is a self-contained system independent of any other system of calculus. Since this self-contained work is intended for a wide audience, inc...
